Through the years, man has searched the earth for answers about how past civilizations worked from the fragments left behind by previous inhabitants. Jobs and work camps have been created to aid the search for such answers. For example, Archaeology; Archeology is a vast field of study that boils down to two things: finding and explaining the unknown. When we talk about archeology the mind perhaps moves towards the idea of the famous Indiana Jones, even if this is not the case. While at work, archaeologists do not enjoy miraculous adventures in nature. The field work performed is more logical, takes time, and the execution of the work is more careful. “Archaeologists spend most of their time in labs and offices, dusting off old bones and applying for grants to fund their field work, not searching for the Holy Grail” (Career Cruising). “One of the best aspects of archeology is the balance between field work (when you can be outside all the time) and office/lab work” (Monteleone). Although how you spend your time in the lab varies depending on what you need to do." When I go to work for the first time, I turn on the computer and see if the process I ran yesterday is finished (not always) . then I often have to check on several other computers (because I often run programs on multiple machines). Then I proceed to read and respond to emails" (Monteleone). Based on these statements, archeology is not what you see in the movies. "...'practical archaeology' is a process composed of many phases, from data collection and initial field investigation to the decision to excavate (or not to excavate), analyze the finds, report the results, set the dates , conduct specialized research and report the… middle of paper… seems appropriate There is also the possibility of not always being enthusiastic about the assigned work, but there is always a possibility that it is true, however, the field has the opportunity to grow, and those interested in participating must be determined.
