One of the most popular ways to perform these searches is through the use of search engines like Google and Yahoo! Using such a medium is beneficial in two ways; it allows the user to make the search parameters as broad or narrow as necessary and can return useful results that the user was not directly looking for. Since there are numerous ways in which to search for these topics, there are equally abundant results for such searches. When searching for information about a literary book like Frankenstein on the Internet, it is important to be specific with your keywords. By just typing Frankenstein into the search field, the results ranged from an online copy of the entire novel to information about the film for the general public. Production of 1931. While the breadth of findings is broad, some websites contained interesting and thought-provoking information. Among the many websites returned by the search, there was one more interesting than the others. The first was Frankenstein: Penetrating the Secrets of Nature. When the student clicks on the link, they are met with a rather simple main page; lacks eye-catching graphics, such as attractive color schemes or flashing images designed to appeal to the viewer's senses rather than their mind. The first link attributes the creation of Frankenstein and his creation to Mary Shelley and dispels the idea that Hollywood is the creator. The second of the four links is The Celluloid Monster. This link is particularly interesting due to its thought-provoking title. To fully understand this section of the site, the student must learn what celluloid means. Celluloid is essentially a composite created from multiple components.
