American culture, afraid of hard work, fights against perfection. Many articles and documents explain the harmful effects of the pursuit of perfectionism, often using it as an excuse to do things badly. But is perfectionism really bad? NO! Doing things with perfection to glorify God and go beyond expectations gives people greater enjoyment of their work. Above all, Christ commands us to do things to His glory and to high standards. 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, So, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Just “good enough” is not “good enough” for God. Christ expects perfection: “ Be ye therefore perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48.
