Topic > Great Entertainers - 1883

There are billions of entertainers in this world, but only a handful of them can say they are great entertainers. Many athletes, actors, musicians, and comedians only last one year in their jobs or have only one successful year. Most artists these days only sell albums based on their sex appeal and not the level of talent they possess. Many athletes gain exposure from a play they make in their career and then never hears about it again. These are all examples of what great entertainers don't do. To be a great entertainer the person must be out for a certain period of time and must be successful 90% of that time. I found three people who fit this description. These people are Michael Jackson, Deion Sanders and Larry King. These three people somehow paved the way for our generation in their respective works. Michael Jackson will go down in history as the greatest entertainer ever, because he was the triple threat. Michael Jackson could sing at the top of his lungs; he could dance until his legs fell off and he could also act. He danced so well that his moves are still used by R&B artists today. The dance moves of Omarion, Usher, MH and even Justin Timberlake originated from him. This is the kind of effect his dance has on our society today. Michael Jackson has sold millions of albums and is famous not only in the United States, but throughout the world. Many different types of people love him and his music is adored all over the world. People in Japan know him and his albums are the best-selling over there nowadays. When I was in Haiti, my whole family loved his music and we didn't know what the word he sang meant. His music is so good that I would say most of the world knows the first line of Thriller. That's the kind of impact his music has had on people. That alone tells you he's a great entertainer. He is such a great entertainer that he revolutionized pop music and made it what it is today. He also started a new style of dance. She first danced her signature dance, the Moonwalk, while playing Billie Jean 1984.
