Cutting my pillow perhaps could be my quest to heal from neck pain or the pillow could have represented my doctor telling me that my neck is in the first stage of deterioration. I took out my aggression on the pillow. If maybe my doctor was the pillow, this would be the dream job process in moving. Displacement occurs when a person, worried or having strong feelings, transforms into something or someone else. Freud would interpret this as my unconscious mind turning my Doctor into a pillow. If he had been my Doctor I would have felt guilty, so my unconscious protected me. My house in the dream was much bigger than it is in reality. The latent content would be that I might worry about safety for myself and appearance for others. This would also be part of the condensation process aimed at transforming worrying thoughts and discomforts into more desirable ones
