The first thing I learned was from Jordan D. Metzl's book which says "To strengthen your muscles, lengthen them". he explains that when I train any muscle, if I strengthen it while I lengthen it it can absorb a lot more force and not damage any tendons like I always have after a few months of training, this would make me stop. The way you do it is when you lift or work any muscle, when you lower you also go very slowly, really working those muscles. An example he gives is "During a calf raise, raise the calf for 2 seconds, then spend 10 seconds lowering the weight." My mentor knew this too so she gave me some exercises to use it on and I noticed great results in terms of strength and I overcame the barrier I was talking about before that always stopped me but it wasn't just that, not yet at least. The second thing I was doing wrong that led me to stop working out was because I would feel tired or weak and this was due to the lack of sleep I found I was getting. Sleeping sometimes even 3 hours if the day was good. For example, this document is being written right now at 4:33 am to be exact. According to my mentor, Mike Chang, and Jordan D. Metzl's book, "A huge amount of people don't realize that when you exercise sleep is the most important activity in our day" because like Jordan's books D. Metzl
