(Nestlé SA, 2014d). Paul Bulcke began his career as a financial analyst before joining Nestlé SA as a marketing trainee. He held multiple responsibilities at Nestlé Peru, Nestlé Ecuador and Nestlé Chile. He subsequently moved to Europe as CEO of Nestlé Portugal, Nestlé Czech and Slovak Republic and Nestlé Germany. (Nestle SA, 2015a). In 2004 he was chosen as executive vice president for the Americas Zone. Four years later, Paul Bulcke was elected to the board of directors of Nestlé SA, and then the board selected him as CEO of Nestlé SA (International Association of Attorneys, 2015). In the most recent fiscal year, Paul Bulcke's salary and bonus were $3,122,727 (Equilar Atlas, 2015). The implication of paying more or less than the CEO is that the money comes from profits.
