Topic > Instinct in Goethe's works - 1172

An action can be strong or weak, with the difference that a strong action has a purpose. When completing an action, an actor must know what to do, where to do it, when to do it, and why to do it. Keep in mind that he or she doesn't need to know how to do this in advance. The how is spontaneous and unexpected. Every action has its own nature or truth, which can be broken down into activities. To make it easier for an actor to show an activity, they can choose to physicalize the activity or do something physical. As long as the physical appearance is truthful to the circumstance, it becomes more pleasant to look at and perform. This can be used when entering or exiting the stage, to avoid having a blank expression or walking away from the character. All the emotions required of an actor can be found through his imagination in the circumstances. Any emotion that the actor finds unimaginable can be replaced with a real-life response to a similar action. All the actions and emotions of the work together form the author's dominant idea, which is the theme, or overall action of the work
