Many people are more active today than many years ago. Injury prevention and diagnosis play an important role in today's society. Preventing injury is important for many athletes around the world and for people who engage in physical activity. Preventing injuries can benefit an athlete in the long term. Athletic trainers help athletes and physically active people stay healthy for what they do on a daily basis. Athletic training plays an important role in today's world. Many people are on the move, whether for sport or daily activities. Athletic trainers can help athletes of any age or industrial workers who perform physical activities or even the average citizen in recreational athletics. They help prevent injuries and help recognize injuries and treat them. They also help rehabilitate injuries resulting from physical activity (Athletic Training Association). They usually arrive first at the scene of the injury (Campus Explorer). Athletic Trainers are healthcare professionals who work alongside certified physicians. They also work for other healthcare professionals, coaches or parents (Athletic Training Association). While working full time for a sports team, they face difficult decisions that could affect the players' health or careers. They must also be able to make quick decisions under pressure. A coach who works for a team can improve his work by changing teams or even becoming a director of athletic training (Campus Explorer). Athletic Trainers are certified in prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning, organization and administration, and professional responsibility (Athletic Training Association). They help athletes prepare for training, to compete… middle of paper… training is more like a lifestyle, they have to love what they do. Many people around the world have turned to an athletic trainer for their pain. Without people like these in the world, it would be difficult for people to live long and healthy lives.
