What is well-being? “Wellbeing is an active process of awareness and choice towards a healthy life. Well-being is also a process of change and growth” (Health Topic – What is well-being?). To have acceptable well-being you should have equal amounts of social, emotional/mental, and physical health. I myself believe I have good well-being, I mean not complete well-being but enough to pass, I will say. But how do I experience well-being? There are different ways of experiencing well-being. My social health is improving. I'm trying my best to be social with people. I like to talk to people every now and then, but it's better than not talking at all. I would say my mental/emotional health is good. I constantly have doubts about how I feel about myself. I assume everyone has those days where they don't feel acceptable, but at the end of the day, you are who you are. Why am I not living well? I have many problems in my life, but being well is probably one of them. My social health was terrible, but after meeting everyone, I actually like talking to people. As a freshman in high school you can understand the difficulty of fitting in, especially with older kids. Older children always like to put smaller ones, but they don't like this, you can't do anything about it. I'm not saying I have a problem with them considering those aren't the people I want to hang out with, it's just that a lot of people in 6th grade can be so rude to each other. Every day you notice, but above all you listen to, people talking about their so-called "friends". I'll be honest, this is one of the reasons I'm not everyone's friend. For me, being friends with everyone means more people talk about you. They tell me that... I'm half paper....... There are people who have perfect well-being, there are those who don't. But that's what makes people different. You don't have to have the greatest amount of well-being to be happy with yourself. You just need a balance in your well-being. Working on some sort of health in your well-being will make you feel better and also make you feel better. It all depends on you. Sometimes things happen to you that are not your fault, but it's up to you to decide how to handle that situation. If someone wants you to smoke and you don't want to, you don't have to. Leave or meet new people. You don't have to be there forever. It's your life that controls, not others. Just make the right decisions and everything will be fine. This is true well-being.
