Baba had too many flaws and made many mistakes to be a good man. Baba was a liar and throughout history he contradicted himself on what for him was the greatest sin. The things he lied about are important issues and are things that people don't lie about or keep to themselves. Having pride is good to have in life, but there is such a thing as too much pride. This was Baba and throughout the story he had too much pride which made him a bad man. Ultimately, the way he acted as a father to Amir is what truly made him a bad man.
