Growing up I was used to only one culture and didn't know the others well. But going to school and interacting with other children both on the soccer field and on the playground, I was surrounded by many different cultures. Now, as I get older and really think about what I want to do with my life, I realize that I have to become a different person because nowadays our society is becoming more diverse than ever. Since I have decided to study and eventually become a teacher, I need to learn about all kinds of cultures because in my classroom I have to be able to accept and understand all the children I will interact with on a daily basis. As an inspiring young woman to help and educate the future, it is my job to ensure that future generations are open and willing to learn about different cultures while also accepting all cultures.
