Topic > Interview Report: Leadership in Healthcare

IntroductionLeadership is increasingly important in today's society. Many experts and scholars point out that the current leadership crisis concerns moral and character problems of many leaders (Ahn, Ettner, & Loupin, 2012; Callahan, 2004; Wright & Quick, 2011). The following interview report is primarily intended to explore and compare leadership traits and characteristics. The director of a clinical medicine center was interviewed for this report. The purpose of this report is to explore the characteristics and traits of leadership and how they can be developed in this turbulent environment. First, I give a brief introduction regarding the interviewee's background and her working environment. The report also describes the personal and subjective perceptions of this leader in relation to a literature review investigating leadership traits and characteristics. The report concludes with a comparison and discussion of the findings of the clinical condition based on the interview and literature review. At the same time, the report aims to propose feasible and effective recommendations and specific programs for current and future leaders and managers in the healthcare system.Methodology1.
