Before applying for a job, it is always best to do some research on the company you would like to work for. If you plan to work at the company long-term, it is always good to know what the company is and what kind of service it provides. As well as knowing their structure and the culture of the organization. Finally, it's good to know if they offer perks and/or rewards if you're someone looking for these things. While doing my research, I checked out the top 100 companies ranked by Forbes in 2014. Google came in as number one on the list. Google is a search engine that provides the use of the web to search, find, and use information via the web, software, cloud storage, and online advertising (Greatrated). Today, Google has become much more than just a search engine: it owns Motorola Mobility, YouTube and the Android operating system. Aside from its operations, Google is also very philanthropic, consisting of its Donations for Doers program and helping smaller organizations with their Google Reach (Greatrated) program. The structure of the organization is based on the human resources approach where the focus is on how “workers think” (Miller). “As Google has grown and evolved rapidly, it has maintained a strong sense of personality and a commitment to innovation in the process (Greatrated)." Google strongly encourages innovation, as well as how "workers feel" through the human relations approach (Miller). Google uses the human relations approach by providing meals gourmet, bowling alleys and nap pods, satisfying the needs of workers There is no doubt that Google follows Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory to keep their workers happy! be unique because… in the middle of the card… goals, if the goals are met at the end of the month, bonuses are given. As well as training provided online throughout your career. Bottom line, the three places I would love to work would be Google, Marriott, or Avis Budget Group. All these companies focus on employee satisfaction and provide good customer service through human relations or HR approach. Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory is definitely practiced in these three organizations. The rewards and benefits provided by these organizations demonstrate the value and appreciation they have for their employees. Communication is team-based rather than hierarchical, making them a friendlier environment.
