IntroductionE-learningAccording to Wikipedia, “e-learning is the use of electronic media and information and communication technologies (ICT) in education”. It includes all types of educational technology in learning and teaching, which is generally identical to multimedia learning, technology-enhanced learning (TEL), computer-based instruction (CBI), computer-based training ( CBT), computer-assisted instruction. o computer-assisted instruction (CAI), Internet-based training (IBT), web-based training (WBT), online education, virtual education, virtual learning environments (VLEs) (also called learning platforms), m-learning, and digital educational collaboration [1]. E-learning uses various types of media capable of providing text, images, audio, animations and streaming videos. Furthermore, technological applications and processes such as audio or video tapes, CD-ROMs, computer-based learning, and web-based learning are also examples of e-learning. Nowadays, some of the devices commonly used in e-learning are computers, tablets, mobile devices, and interactive whiteboards. Background In 2010, the Hong Kong Education Bureau introduced e-learning in schools as a pilot scheme on e-learning in schools. The aim of the project is to establish a pilot project to investigate how e-learning should be carried out in different curricula and school contexts in Hong Kong, in order to enhance learning through the use of electronic media. To ensure complete coverage of a key phase of the school career, the program will be spread over three school years [2]. After the selection process, a total of 61 schools will be involved in 21 selected projects.
