Topic > Essay on the Light Bulb - 668

Think about where the world would be today if the light bulb had not been invented. The way the world is shaped today is all due to the invention of the light bulb. There are many reasons why the light bulb influenced America. The light bulb has been making things easier since before the light bulb, the people involved in this invention, the actual invention, and the lifestyle impact. The light bulb created a path of light for the future, the world is based on electricity. Life before the light bulb created many situations that would never happen today. In the 1800s people carried lanterns with them for light, those lanterns were powered by fire. One of the biggest problems with lanterns was that if there was any reason for them to be left in front of a tent or dropped there would be a fire, buildings would burn just because of a lantern. The lantern also needs to be changed or refilled, which creates an inconvenience. The amount of light the lantern brought into the room was not much. People should have a couple of lanterns in each room to light up the room a little. If you are walking at night, the lanterns are very heavy and if you were the only one it would be a lot to carry if you had anything else with you. Crime without electricity was at an all-time high. Most criminals use darkness as a helper, people can't see your face and it's easier to move. Before the invention of the light bulb there wasn't always an easy way to get light or get around. Most people think that Thomas Edison was the one to invent the light bulb, but he is the one who perfected it. Although there is evidence that Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, he was nervous that so... middle of paper... at night, that couldn't happen because you wouldn't be able to see where the ball or anyone is going. At night there would be no light to see, do homework or even do anything else. Today, all things that revolve around light and the place where the light is found. If you look at most children, you see their heads lowered and a light projected on their face. There is always a time of the day when someone looks at the TV, a computer screen or a phone and all these inventions started from the light bulb and electricity. At school on a rainy day it would have been difficult to see all the documents, or whatever it was. The average working day runs from nine in the morning to five in the evening, without light to go to and from work the days would be shorter but more work would need to be done. The world would function and work differently without the invention of the light bulb.
