The article I chose to evaluate was about college students and some of the abnormal behaviors that were observed. Currently, suicide among college students continues to increase. Without completing the study, the motivations behind their behavior would remain unknown. Having an understanding of what is driving so many students to commit suicide will help others be aware of the signs so that other alternatives such as counseling can be used. The assessment technique used in this study required a specific number of college students who were enrolled in “psychology 101 classes at an urban college in New York City” to complete several questionnaires in a group (Bauer, Chesin, & Jeglic, 2014, p. 37). This is similar to an individual completing a symptom questionnaire. These students came from various ethnic backgrounds and more than half of them were women. They were asked to complete questionnaires indicating how severe a student's depression was at the time, any past and present suicidal thoughts or attempts, and whether the student is involved in "delinquency b"....
