The narrator is a very lonely person who misses a woman named Lenore (Poe, “Raven”). The narrator stood in the darkness thinking about things he had never thought about (Poe, “Raven”). However, all he could think about was the woman named Lenore (Poe, "Raven"). He lives alone and a bird greets him (Poe, "Raven"). The bird comes and sits on top of his bedroom door (Poe, "Raven").
