The structure of the political system in BrazilMany countries in the world have adopted the unique and valuable political system of the United States, and the political system of Brazil is mainly oriented towards the so-called pro- American political system. The political system refers to all types of recognized political and state institutions, how they are formed, issues of legitimacy, culture and delegation of power within the population, and political structures. The main law , the Constitution, provides clear ideas on political power, the principle of separation of powers between the various branches, public participation, questions of legitimacy and traditions. According to the Federal Constitution of Brazil, three main political powers (legislative, executive and judicial) must be separated from each other. The Constitution defines different procedures for the legitimacy of each branch of power. Brazil's 1988 Federal Constitution includes a wide range of civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights, as well as broad constitutional guarantees. Brazil's Constitution does not specifically alter the balance of power between the country's bicameral legislative branch. In Brazil the Congress (Congresso Nacional) is composed of the Federal Senate (Senado Federal) and the Chamber of Deputies (Camara Dos Deputados). The Federal Senate has 81 seats; three members of each state or federal district elected according to the principle of the majority for a term of eighty years. One third of the senators are elected after four years, two thirds after the following four years. The Chamber of Deputies has five hundred and thirteen seats, whose members are elected by proportional representation for a four-year term. The Senate is primarily concerned with conf...... half of document ...... n human rights in cooperation with the United States. The political system adopted pro-American and adapted to the cultural traditions of Brazil, made the country the leader in the political, economic, social and international aspects of South America. Furthermore, Brazil has made possible the creation of a new dimension in the all-American regional relations with the United States.
