That animal testing is beneficial. "The next time an animal rights group claims that animal research provides no benefit to humans, stop and think about the astonishing medical advances made over the past fifty years. Because scientists have experimented with research animals , vaccines were developed, new life-saving medical and surgical techniques were developed, diseases were cured, “extending our lives and alleviating untold amounts of human suffering.” (Smith, Wesley J.) While animal testing helps alleviate human suffering to some extent, it doesn't fully help us understand how things will react when a human uses it.
