In 2014, imagination and hallucination seem common for some who use drugs. Whether a person is watching a television show, video, or movie, drugs seem to impact some characters. The author of Alice in Wonderland is said to have used the drug opiate. Perhaps the influence of drugs contributed to Alice's adventures in the book. In this article I will share three scenes that struck me as very vivid. Then I will try to show how imagination, drugs and hallucinations may have enhanced the story. Drugs are not good for a person to take or use continuously. Many people use prescription drugs or over-the-counter medications because they don't feel well. Lewis Carroll's opioid use influenced his book, Alice in Wonderland. Many people say that Lewis Carroll did not use drugs (opiates) while writing Alice in Wonderland. Three memorable scenes I remember from the book support the possibility that Mr. Carroll's use of opiates for pain relief influenced his book. His use of imagination and hallucinations enhanced the adventures. The three scenes are: Alice going down the rabbit hole, shrinking and becoming extremely large. Drugs affect the way people think, act and live. Drugs affect the imagination and can cause people to believe things in their minds that are not true or real. Sometimes when we get bored, our minds start wondering. Curiosity creeps in. Ordinary and small things around us start to look different. Things might remind us of what we saw in a movie, video, or TV show. Opium is a drug obtained from opium. It is used to reduce pain or cause sleep. Opiates can provide pleasure in addition to pain relief. An opioid overdose can cause people to stop breathing and die. Op...... center of paper ......telling her that the flamingo's croquet mallet might bite. The Queen orders the Duchess to leave and asks Alice to resume the croquet game. Alice visits the Mock Turtle. In Chapter Ten, Alice was introduced to a lobster. Alice almost volunteered that she had tasted one once, but she controls herself and simply says no. Alice asks about whiting, holding back the urge to say that she too has tasted whiting. .Alice was in place of the whiting who left the porpoise out of the dance. The Mock Turtle explains to Alice that it is unwise for a fish to go anywhere without a purpose. Alice got Father William's words wrong and they order him to recite the poem “It is the voice of the lazy man. "Alice requested a song that is "Turtle Soup." In chapter eleven, Alice arrives at the courtroom and finds the king and queen of hearts on their throne.
