Although women throughout history are depicted as the weaker of the two sexes, incapable of defending themselves let alone standing up equally against their male counterparts, some stand out against the mundane backdrop of the "ideal woman". Labeled throughout history as troublemakers, perhaps these women are just attempting to exercise their power. Surely their power is not found in physical strength, but this power comes from a source deeper, their very essence as sexual beings. The women of the Old Testament such as Eve, Lot's daughters, Potiphar's wife and Delilah are considered "scandalous" women throughout history. they awaken in themselves, as in all women, an innate but powerful ability to exert control over men who they feel are trying to dominate them. For centuries, men have believed that they have possessed authority since Adam. on earth, they should have authority over women too. Many countries still use this belief today to keep women in subservient roles. Through this belief, women have sometimes found themselves in submissive positions, frustrated and jealous that they cannot be as in control as their male counterparts are. This is how Satan convinces Eve to eat the fruit. He goads her by telling her that the only reason God doesn't want her to eat the forbidden fruit is because it would be like God if she ate it. Through his cunning and persuasiveness, Satan uses these very facts against Eve. “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and pleasing to the eyes, and desirable for wisdom, she took of its fruit, and ate, and gave it unto him.” husband with her; and ate: (Genesis 3:6). Falling in love with… half of the card… on a social and social level. Sometimes, in the Old Testament, women discovered a powerful advantage in their journey to becoming equal. God gives humanity sex as a means of procreation and pleasure between man and wife. Sometimes, sex can also be used as a weapon against women to keep them submissive. There are some examples in the Old Testament, however, where women understood that sexuality can be a simple but powerful tool. From Eve who incites Adam to eat the forbidden fruit to the illicit encounters of Lot's daughter with her drunken father, from the seduction attempts of Potiphar's wife towards Joseph to the seduction of Samson by Delilah which leads to his fall, these women of the Old Testament used their sexuality, whether it was a conscious or unconscious act, to level the playing field in their relationships with men.
