Ethics in Business, in my view, is a great thing for business. The term ethics, according to Understanding Business, indicates the standards of moral behavior, that is, behavior accepted by society as right or wrong (Nickels, 2013). From a consumer perspective, it would be ideal to interact with an ethically bound company. My personal point of view in dealing with an ethically correct business would instill confidence in the company. If I knew they weren't handling things internally or externally the right way, my views and opinions would go down. The company might organize fundraisers, help donate to charity, do volunteer work, promote service for the good of others, or any act of kindness to show you have a big heart. According to the Edward Lowe Foundation “Giving back to the community through charitable fundraising or other worthy causes helps improve the company” (Conroy, 2012). For example, a company like Kohl's has a program called Associates in Action. This program allows employees to serve on a variety of different programs to demonstrate that everyone can make a difference. This is good because it promotes their business in a positive light and shows their concerns towards their surroundings. It would be beneficial internally for companies so that they know what is happening within their company. An example would be if an employee knew that another employee was stealing from the company, that informed employee would let his or her superiors be informed to handle the situation properly and fairly. Also referring to good ethics in a company's treatment of employees. A superior should also inform their employees if something went wrong or if they personally messed up something during the supervisory journey. If the entire company is morally correct, its ethics should simply be followed, thus creating cohesion
