You would not be able to connect to a network with your mobile devices. Additionally, some medical supplies work exclusively wirelessly, so such devices would not work. There are many other things you will need to connect to a wireless network, but this article was about the evolution of this network. The IEEE is actually always looking for ways to improve its wireless networking standards. We achieved 1 Gig of throughput performance as of 2014, but as time goes on, more advanced technologies will be developed and data throughput will only grow from here.
