Topic > Lord of the Flies, by William Golding - 807

Over time, people have attempted to create a system of constancy, which provides order. Every society has gone through chaos and disorder until there existed an adequate corps of administrative leaders who could satisfy the people. A society can have many varieties of government, but over time societies have discovered the right type of government for its citizens. In the book Lord of the Flies, the kids in the book are a perfect example of how a society begins. During World War II, a group of British boys fly over the ocean, but the plane crashes there. They are alone on an island and must try to survive on the island with limited supplies. The anarchy on the island, created by the boys, turns into two dictatorships. In Lord Of The Files by William Golding, the boys fail to form an effective government. Ultimately, the reasons are lack of respect for natural rights, a sensitive leader and separation of power. One reason kids can't handle proper government is that they don't respect each other's natural rights. During the Enlightenment, John Locke was a 17th-century English philosopher; he wrote about the natural rights of a person when born into a society. His beliefs were that people have natural rights, which are life, liberty, and property (TCI, 14). Another belief is that everyone receives the same natural rights and no one has more rights than anyone else. John Locke's natural rights documents have been used in many republican documents in the United States of America and other countries. In the book, Jack, one of the upper boys, violates Piggy's natural rights more than once. At the beginning of the book, Ralph uses the g... in the center of Piggy's card... to figure out if he had sent someone else to keep the fire going. Because of Ralph's unreasonable decision, they are not saved and need a wiser leader. The boys lack a wise leader, which slowly leads to chaos and mayhem among them. A wise leader is necessary because a wise leader can always find a solution to everything and rarely has problems. Every society has a story about a person or leader. The boy's failure to create a proper government that can ensure their safety on the island, but in the end they fail to restore order because they are saved. A government is necessary for a society to prolong its establishment, which requires many things. There are many types of government, which have their own ideals on how to govern their people. Every society adapts some kind of governance by its citizens, so that they can protect and ensure happiness.
