TitleOrganizational AnalysisExecutive SummaryMeasuring an organization's success in meeting or achieving its strategic objectives means evaluating the performance of its employees. If it is to be effective or of substantial value to the organization, it must be systematic and targeted. In this organizational analysis I would like to explore the performance management performed at the organization I am part of and suggest improvements to enhance the process to achieve better results. I will also explore the stressful environment created by performance appraisals and suggest ideas for improving the experience to achieve positive outcomes. The company I am part of is a financial technology solutions company. Organizational Analysis The organization I am part of uses SMART as a guide for performance evaluations. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound. Assessments are carried out every six months. Employees and their line manager will meet after both have completed a document provided by the organization. Employees are expected to fill out the document and submit it to the manager who then fills out his evaluation part and then reviews the document with the employees. Normally the document should be filled with the overall team objective established by the managers or department heads along with the company values established by the company. Employees also have a section to rate themselves in different explained areas and the manager will also give their point of view on your position according to them. During the performance evaluation, the objectives to be achieved for each employee are set. In most cases... half dialogue should be encouraged... between the manager and the employee. Conclusion Performance appraisals are very important for companies to set expectations, set goals and standards, have a formal discussion with all employees and get everyone on the same page. In order to make the experience better for both organizations and its employees, an appropriate approach is crucial. The organization can benefit from providing clear, goal-oriented feedback to make progress, and employees will benefit from knowing whether the path they are on is taking them and the organization in which they invest their time in the right direction. Additionally, if employees are less anxious and see it as a benefit, they will be more engaging and proactive in how they approach the evaluation. Focusing on better overall performance evaluation can only lead to a more productive environment.
