Distance learningThe American education system has been developing a new way of teaching over the years. Many universities resort to this type of learning called distance education. Distance education is possible thanks to new advances and computer technologies. This new ideal learning has positive and negative attributes, increases the differences between classroom teaching and distance education, the key players involved and the schools offering this education online. This can be a valuable aspect for our society. Computer is one of the most important technologies in this world. Thanks to the invention of the computer, our society as a whole has changed immensely. We can simply connect to the Internet, which is a new technology, and send a letter to a person via email, instead of going to the post office, where the letter may not be delivered for a few days. These technologies have made life easier for everyone; especially for university students. If they need to contact their professor, all they have to do is go to the computer, access their email inbox and write a message to their teacher. The computer has specific programs made specifically for a subject in a class. For example, in the ISTC class, it provides a program called Blackboard. With this program, homework can be assigned online, without meeting in person. Because computers are so high-tech these days, you can take college classes online and receive readable credit for it. As the computer becomes more advanced every day, students can enter a virtual classroom to talk to their professor and classmates.
