Week SixCreswell's (2013) chapters four and five helped me understand how important it is to focus on one type of qualitative research. This leads to writing a coherent article in the chosen approach. It was also interesting to learn that, due to subjective and objective experiences, phenomenology lies halfway between qualitative and quantitative research. The study I am conducting is a phenomenological study. So when I interviewed my participant this weekend, I couldn't help but be a little worried that I wasn't staying true to the phenomenological approach. My participant had difficulty being sequential and organized in his interview. Sometimes I had to ask clarifying questions instead of remaining silent as I should have. Therefore, when I read page eighty-one, I am a little confused to tell the participants the two broad, general questions that were asked during the reading.
