Bees and HornetsMost people find it difficult to believe that honeybees and hornets are two different insects. These two insects are very different, but both bees have one simple thing in common; both produce honey. They usually have the same jobs and the same rules. Although honeybees and bumblebees have similarities in their work and ways, there are many things that make these insects different. The two main types of bees are honeybees and bumblebees. You probably never knew it, but honeybees and bumblebees are very different insects. One of the main differences is their bodies. A bee has a slender body, similar to that of a wasp, with a stronger and more obvious stripe pattern. A bee can only see a few colors including yellow, blue-green, blue, violet, ultraviolet, and even a color known as "bee violet," a mixture of yellow and ultraviolet. Bumblebees vary greatly in size, but tend to be hairy, hairy, large, and relatively stocky. Bumblebees have two pairs of wings, although they appear to have only one pair as the wings work together. One thing that is very similar between these insects is their work. Here are the bees' jobs. These are jobs they will do for their entire lives, and not only are they necessary to keep them alive, but they are necessary to keep the entire hive alive. On the first day they clean the cells. After the worker bee emerges and grooms itself, it cleans its own cell and others so they can store new eggs. Once the cells have been rearranged, new eggs can be placed in the cells so that more bees can be born. At eleven past three in the day, they feed the youngest larvae. The workers care for their younger and older sisters by feeding and caring for development and larvae. They check the larvae 1,300 times... middle of paper... special cells, the queen lays eggs from which a new queen will emerge. After the larvae develop from the eggs, the cells become covered in wax. Soon after the cells are covered in wax, the old queen gathers together many workers and leaves the hive to start a new colony. The departing queen and her group of workers are called a swarm. Their journey from the hive to find a new home is called swarming. The workers who will take care of the new queen and the developing larvae remain in the hive. We observed many similarities and differences between bumblebees and honey bees. They may look the same, but they are very different. They have similar jobs, but different bodies. They have different lifestyles, but the same lifespan. They have the same type of queen, but different houses. If you thought they were the same thing, well now you know they are very different!
