Is there anything in the 10 commandments or beatitudes that relates to the situation? As shown in the upper section, both the beatitudes and the commandments are related to the problem. It is clearly demonstrated that violence must be avoided and that there should be peace and cooperation between all parties. Do any of the virtues of faith, hope, love, wise judgment, courage, justice, and integrity apply to this situation? Love is the seed of relationships. The people involved form a bond through their love for each other. They must be faithful to each other and have hope in each other. Furthermore, justice is involved in the situation, as physical abuse can have legal consequences. What does the Church teach regarding the issue? The Church and the teachings of Jesus clearly show that it is possible to achieve a positive result by eliminating violence and finding a solution to its cause. The Church teaches us to be faithful and loving in a relationship and that we must love each other to be successful. It is clear that the Church would support the non-judicial removal of the cause of the violence, and both sides would come to an agreement
