To help improve academics at Jackson High School, the district should provide more technology in the classrooms. We should have iPads in every classroom we have. We should also be able to use our cell phones. Technology has increased over the years and our school district should be up to date on its tools. There are several reasons why we should have these devices in our classrooms. One of the materials we should have at school is the iPad. It would help us become more organized with all our subjects. A Michigan high school freshman said, “It helped us become more organized.” “We will not lose the documents. It's all on our iPad." (Blacksmith). Students should be able to bring their own devices to school. It would help them become more organized and help them prepare for college. However, doing so could also save our school money. It would save our school money by not having to buy each student an iPad if they already have one, if every student had one, they wouldn't be able to make excuses for not completing their homework or assignments. a staff member said that the program iPad has allowed students to show more participation in the lessons they are learning. It has also allowed more time for teaching students and less time for management skills (Smith). It has also allowed teachers to assign classwork, tests and it helps students communicate with each other (Smith). Secondly, our school should be able to have mobile phone devices. It could allow students and teachers to have a planner to follow. It could also contain reminders, surveys and blogs to help them (Davis). One staff member said: “Mobile phones can save us money. They are almost everywhere... in the middle of paper... How can you pay for these devices? It could be through grants, and we could have fundraisers throughout the year to fund them. In particular, we may raise funds at sports games and other events. Overall, technological devices should be separated in our classrooms and everyday life.
