I don't listen, I just stare at a rufus. Do you know what will happen? The whole day passes in a flash. The next morning my mother shakes me awake. I wake up reluctantly and get ready. My parents and I got in the car as my dad crossed the freeway, I had Rufus on my lap, I patted his belly and held his paw until the vets. A tear falls down my face. Rufus comes up to my face, licks it off and whimpers. I smile. When we arrive, a plump lady is standing on the desk typing vigorously on a keyboard. She looks up smiling happily and drags her long bright pink nails over her huge head and squeaks, "Welcome to Doctor Pillar's office, how may I help you?" My mother says "um, we're here to see Doctor Pillar" "He'll be here any minute uh.." "Suzan" "Yes, Suzan" My mother and I sit in a big red chair. I turn around as my mother flips through a selection of fashion magazines. My mother then turns around and says, “It's going to be okay, it's the right thing to do.” I nod.
