Imagine what would be healthier a homemade dish with fresh ingredients purchased the day before, prepared by someone at home or the more typical take-out meal that families serve on a apparently regular basis. I would venture to guess that most would choose the homemade meal as healthier if the person preparing it knows what they are doing. When preparing food at home, the raw materials used are much healthier, they have most likely not been pre-cooked and the ingredients have a slightly earthy smell. When cooked at home, the chef knows all the spices, vegetables and slices of meat that go into the meal, so from start to finish you know almost everything about the meal. However, when we buy, order and eat the takeout meal, we are not one hundred percent sure what the meal contains. Of course, here we can see some onions, maybe some carrot slices and the cube of meat. Wait, we're not sure about the spices, did the restaurant add extra fat? Maybe some MSG, MSG, or some other assortment of special spices was added into the mix just to make it taste that much better. At this point we are no longer sure what the meal made up, which can lead to overconsumption of daily nutrients, directly leading to just doing that waistline
