As Anselm goes through a checklist to construct an assessment for where God truly fits into our world and understanding, Anselm removes categories that help in proving its existence. God is not in the same category as human being, the reason is that God cannot depend on any living being for his existence. God does not fall into the category of unicorn or any mythical creature because he is not a “non-existent contingent being (Berkley, George)”. God must be omnipotent, must be everywhere and capable of everything to be God in the first place.
