Grierson. Mr. Grierson was a man known for giving the city a huge loan. On page 628, paragraph three reads, "Miss Emily's father had lent money to the town." He was also a controlling man for Emily. He told her she couldn't date and so on. Lately, Homer Barron is a man from the northern United States. Homer was a man loved by everyone in town. He worked on the roads creating the pavement. He and Emily had a developing relationship, but Homer didn't want to get married anytime soon. Barron was the type of man who liked to date younger men and not so much Miss Emily. Homer Barron went to Emily one day and left but for a long time no one in town seemed to notice he was missing. In conclusion, A Rose for Emily, these characters are what ties the story together. Without each person, it wouldn't help explain each individual. Mr. William Faulkner, the creator of this story, knew how to turn every paragraph even when it passed to present itself into a flowing story. Making it where he described Emily's death, her past, present and so on. Also, Explaining Homer, Tobe, the people of the town and Emily's father where it explained the story but conformed into one whole. The only thing about this story is that it never really explains why the title was called A Rose
