There is no better pressure group to expand the primary labor market and change the way employers save costs than the unemployed and underemployed (Ehrenreich, 2006, p. 236). I agree with Ehrenreich that change cannot be left in the hands of employers and governments, as they are the ones who have the most to gain from perpetuating inequality and insecurity. The way to bring about change is for the marginalized, unemployed and underemployed to unite/organize for a common purpose. If this is the largest and fastest growing segment of the labor market population, surely the impact will be significant
