In “Lesson XX, Conclusions” we read “I wanted to feed on my happiness in solitude, far from all men”. I understood that man can be happy even alone and that there is no need to be with someone. To be happy, human beings must be at peace with themselves and not think about anything else. Like the example in “Lesson XX, Conclusions” that James wanted to be happy and continue to be happy in solitude, away from all people.
