Lately there has been a growing body of law that also seeks to prevent employment discrimination based on sexual orientation. If private affairs are left to their own devices, the possibility of discriminatory practices that include bias in hiring, promotion, job assignments, firing, compensation, retaliation, and various types of harassment could go unchecked. I think the government should intervene when the human right to life is violated as well as when human rights and equal protection are violated. “Due process protection requires that employees receive a fair hearing prior to termination if the termination relates to a “liberty” (such as the right to free speech) or pecuniary interests” (Negotiations.com, 2016). Governments can intervene in situations where laws clearly state that employees should be protected from dismissal or otherwise penalized with respect to terms and conditions of employment on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, disability, pregnancy and
