I learned how important it is for a company to have a brand and that many customers come from brand loyalty. Without a brand it is difficult for advertising campaigns to be successful. Branding sets the tone for the company and this was something I had never realized before. I've learned that you can't just put things in advertisements without planning them first. A business must have two steps to successful advertising. The first step is to establish the message that the company wants to convey and then the second step is to communicate this message. Another new thing I learned is that there are multiple positions within a marketing company. I never realized how many opportunities there were within one company, whether as an account manager or a member of the management team, there are many different areas to explore within the marketing field. The speaker didn't say anything that didn't make me want to work in this field. I feel like everything they talked about was referring to something I might want to do. This presentation made me want to explore my options and see which parts of marketing I like more than others. I feel like there are so many different areas to explore and I would like to explore them all
