The players are not in the same league and do not show the same skill or compassion for their sport. Every sport has players who are paid more than others based on their performance, but you don't see an entire group protesting against this. Additionally, it was noted that MLB has stood firm on the pay given to its players and has no plans to renegotiate its terms. Players may be receiving huge salaries, but franchise owners, stadiums and everyone associated with the game are also seeing very satiable profits. I believe that any profession, whether it is football, baseball, basketball or hockey, should be paid based on skill level and performance. These athletes put their all into these sports and achieve greatness in the process. So yes, even baseball players deserve their pay because they bring in just as much if not more and it suits me why would anyone suggest recalculating a player's salary if he meets expectations and proves fruitful to his interests.
