Hera is a Greek goddess with unique ties to Olympus, an attractive personality, and family ties that spell vengeance.Hera is the queen of the Olympian gods and the queen of sky (Olympus), as well as the goddess of marriage and birth. She was the goddess of the skies even before she married Zeus, which is important because she could have potentially ruled on Mount Olympus without Zeus by her side. Hera was important to Greek mythology as she was the queen of the Olympians and, being the queen of the Greek gods, she played an important role in the development of the Olympians in their mythological tales. Such an example would arise from when Hera influenced the outcome of Hercules' quests and adventures by attempting to kill him. He was known to punish those mortals with whom Zeus had affairs, including the son of the affair, to instill fear in those mortals who might fall into the hands of the almighty Zeus. Hera had the redeeming quality of remembering those wounds that were inflicted on her, meaning that she was vigilant in remembering the past as it afflicted her. Hera dealt appropriately with those involved in her present and future, so as to get something of value out of it. Hera was a gentle protector of heroes, but she lacked the sense of justice seen by both mortals and the other gods in Greece. As long as he killed mortals who thought they were sleeping with Zeus.
