Topic > India and Pakistan: Dissent vs. Disagreement - 887

Tensions between India and Pakistan, which have risen in recent years, are reaching an all-time high as nuclear technologies in both countries threaten security and provide the potential for direct nuclear war. For now, India and Pakistan are at odds, but as time passes and their discord turns into dissent, citizens are put at risk as both nations currently have the technology to use weapons of mass destruction. For now people are safe. But once this conflict reaches new heights and small disagreements escalate into dangerous dissent, devastation is inevitable. Dissent similar to the situation in India and Pakistan is extremely harmful and leads to aggressive arguments, while smaller disagreement is essential to the life of democracy and can be useful if civilized. The main argument for the destructiveness of dissent begins with the idea that dissent often leads to arguments. These arguments end up putting the safety of the parties involved at risk. The president's opponents were fed up with Mubarak - he had been in power for 30 years - as his prestige declined due to domestic problems in Egypt. Popular disagreement with Mubarak's government shifted gears in early February when fresh gunfire hit Cairo and the conflict turned to dissent. Enemies and supporters of the president gathered in Tahrir Square, and hundreds of citizens were killed and injured as the protests turned violent. The difference between ob tampons and other tampons can only be recognized by the parties involved: the loyal consumers who have been using ob tampons for decades. Until outsiders are put in the shoes of a woman who has been using the brand for years, until their discomfort and frustration is understood, it is not possible to recognize the difference between ob pads and those of another brand. The same reasoning applies to the distinction between disagreement and dissent. Those involved in the conflict can fully understand the difference because they are fully involved in the consequences of the conflict. The fear-filled faction recognizes when argument becomes aggression, when debate becomes devastation, and when arguments become bloodshed.
