Voting has educational effects that no one often considers. Voters would become familiar with the political themes and issues present in the country. A well-informed public would raise the level of conversations to a higher intellectual level (mandatory vote, 2015). Furthermore, compulsory voting would save the country financially as there would no longer be a need for advertising to encourage voting. Furthermore, the country could earn money from the fine that non-voters would pay, if paying a fine was the chosen punishment.
