Today the education system has developed a lot in recent years. This states that more and more people are paying more attention to education. The vast majority of families would like to help their children achieve a better education. Therefore, the majority of the school-age population has the opportunity to attend university or college to obtain higher education. The school rules tend to be very strict especially for academic honesty. In this consideration, student cheating becomes a hot topic and a vital issue (Ken, 2008). The causes of student cheating affect all aspects of daily life. Personal attitude, surrounding environment, and parental stress are three common causes that cause student's motivation to cheat. To begin with, personal attitude is the direct element that causes students to cheat. With a lazy attitude, some students are not willing to study hard. They spend more than ninety percent of their time eating and watching TV or movies. They leave only ten percent of time for studying and finishing homework. Since students spend little time studying, they are unable to master the knowledge taught by the teacher in the classroom. Due to laziness, they think that everything is important besides studying and don't worry too much about grades. Furthermore, when the challenge comes to the lazy student, his reaction is to run away so as not to overcome the difficulties. Their standard of study is simply to pass the exam. Therefore, when they have difficulty passing the exam, they will look at the answer of others during the exam. Furthermore, vanity is another element that causes students to cheat. A group of students want to get a high score without hard work or effort. In their minds, a low score means disability; and they will be despised by teachers (Banchero, 2012). They are re... in the middle of the paper... also, it is important for parents to have faith in their children. With parents' belief, children will study harder to reward their parents. In conclusion, cheating on students tends to be a serious problem. In other words, cheating students is academic dishonesty. We should grasp the causes of student cheating so that the education system can solve this vital problem. Three common causes of student cheating are personal attitude, internal and external environment, and parental complaint. Students need to self-limit their behavior by setting long-term ambitions. Society and parents must provide the best study environment for students. If the number of students who cheat decreased, the quality of the education system would increase. And then more and more talents emerge; and talents will help the government develop society.
