What is to be considered a man's dream? Is it to have all the money in the world? In this case, having all the money in the world is important to Walter Lee Younger and to get rich he wants to invest in a liquor store. He thinks owning a liquor store will help him get rich, so he doesn't have to carry snobbish rich white men around his whole life. A man needs to feel like the breadwinner, and in maintaining that role, he needs decent work, pride in himself, and an understanding of his identity.
