Topic > Impact of the American Revolution on Society - 845

Agriculture was an important production during the American Revolution. This is evidenced by the Medal of the Philadelphia Society for the Promotion of Agriculture in 1786. At that time, agriculture was not as strong as it is today. Many farmers then were very poor, were in debt and were taxed very high. As a result, our society has always had a strong government. The American Revolution helped shape our nation today by having a great impact on political opinions, social changes, and economic views. This has outlined our profile from a political point of view, showing us that everyone has the opportunity to vote and say what they believe in. The social changes we discovered during this time were that everyone was equal and deserved to have equal rights for both men and women. From an economic point of view, the revolution made us understand that if we didn't have farmers, there would be little or no food. This made us grateful to have our farmers around. It can be shown that we have learned from the American Revolution from the documentation and primary sources given to us by the people of that time
