Although there is no speculation as to whether the church in Corinth believes in a different message than Clement's own church in Rome; he doesn't emphasize the teachings, but rather the unifying acts he saw bringing a community together. While Irenaeus, dealing with false teachings, sees the best way to unify a church culture as the message of what he considers “truth,” so that the church can be consciously separated from those who teach false doctrines.
