There needs to be a duty of care owed to interviewees to ensure there is no backlash against them resulting from police intervention or government intimidation; also respecting the laws of the country in which they are filmed. Other ethical considerations that need to be addressed are the characters and participants, ensuring that primarily they have been treated with respect and honesty, this is done by informing interviewees in advance of the intent of the documentary and the aim of highlighting issues. Other considerations must be addressed to the characters and workers, so as not to interfere with their duties and create greater risks. The reason why they were chosen for their unique situation and personalities and causing unnecessary changes to manipulate the footage, I think goes against shooting a movie.
