When I looked at Facebook and Twitter, I could see that some of my information was “cherry-picked”. Mainly this was an issue on my Facebook, my Twitter on the other hand, had newsfeeds from many different media, allowing it to be more diverse. Now that I have gained media literacy skills, I will be able to look at a newsfeed and better evaluate it before putting my opinion together. To help make my social media streams more diverse, I could like and follow different news pages and make sure I'm not just getting my information from social media. Overall echo chambers are a major issue that needs to be addressed and resolved. Living in an echo chamber will only lead to dead-end thinkers and ideas. When unlimited information is so easily accessible, it is important to educate our communities in media literacy and issues such as affirming journalism, to better expand not only our knowledge, but also the knowledge of our
