I have learned to be responsible. I had odd jobs at work and it was my responsibility to not only serve customers but also make sure the store was clean. At home I had odd jobs, but here I felt I had to be super mature and responsible for all my actions. I couldn't just say, "No, I don't feel like cleaning tonight." It was an obligation and I learned that no matter where you are, even at home, it should be your obligation to make sure the house is clean too. I remember my first day on the job, I was so excited I could barely stand it, the store smelled so good with freshly made cones and there was a crisp, fresh feeling when you walked into the building. Working with ice cream can get a little sticky and for this reason you have to clean it constantly otherwise you will slip and fall on the ice cream or just get sticky. I cleaned up after everything and that stuck with me because now I have to make sure everything is clean. I will always know the importance of taking responsibility for everything for this reason
